About Us

The Hospital works closely with the Health Coordination Office of the COU/Diocese of Kigezi and the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB) within the parameters of the Diocesan Health Policy.

The hospitals’ main purpose is to offer quality health care to poor communities at an affordable cost, through curative, and preventive medicine. The Hospital has been able to do this through the support of several development partners. The Diocese of Kigezi as the mother organisation being the pioneer of them all, it has allocated enough land for the hospital expansion, provided support in the construction of the first structure and continues to support the Hospital on a daily basis; Lions Clubs International Foundation ,Truro Church in the USA and Church Mission Society have made a significant contribution to the Hospital infrastructural development, St. Luke’s Church, Blackadder Church and other churches and individual friends in the UK, USA, Germany and Australia have continually supported the Hospital in provision and purchase of hospital equipment.
